[KONTROL] is proud to bring the finest in
minimal techno and forward-thinking house music
to the Bay Area every month, with an emphasis on
live performances.
The event was conceived and initiated by Midwest
transplant Greg Bird, who chose
some of San Francisco's most dedicated and knowledgable
minimal enthusiasts to support him as resident DJ's:
Sammy D, Alland Byallo,
and Craig Kuna. Together as a team
we work hard to bring the world's best to San Francisco
every month, whether it's established veterans of
the sound, or up and coming artists who we feel
the world should know about.
Guests
thus far have included Switzerland's acclaimed live
duo Galoppierende Zuversicht, German
virtuoso Isolée, the collaborative
live debut of John Tejada & Justin Maxwell,
L.A. veteran Kenneth Graham, Montreal's
Pheek, and local Dirtybird Records'
rising stars Justin Martin and
Claude VonStroke.
